Gulf Craft flagship Majesty 175 launched

The 53.34 metre Gulf Craft flagship, the Majesty 175, has hit the water for the first time.

Now the largest series composite yacht, the Majesty 175 was launched at a ceremony attended by the owner in the UAE.

First announced at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show, the Majesty 175 has been in the making for four years.

Exterior and interior design comes from Cristiano Gatto, while naval architecture was penned by Massimo Gregori.

Accommodation inside the 780GT interior is for a total of 14 guests in seven staterooms, including the owner’s suite located forward of the upper deck. The owner’s cabin also have direct access to the five metre swimming pool. Crew accommodation comprises six cabins and a private captain’s cabin.

Power comes from twin MTU engines 12V 4000 M63 for a top speed of 16.5 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots for a range of 4,000 nautical miles.

Speaking about the launch, Gulf Craft’s chairman Mohammed Hussein Alshaali said: “This is a very special day in the history of Gulf Craft. I’m proud of everyone who contributed to this magnificent jewel and to launch it today as the largest composite production megayacht in the world.”
